New hay feeder
One of Ted's coworkers has cattle, and he designed a new type of hay feeder. This design keeps the hay dry and off the ground, and it's supposed to be zero waste. Ted bought one from him. Robbie delivered it Saturday morning. The cattle love it!
We can’t believe the cattle didn’t eat this!
Ted was dragging the driveway when something in the pasture caught his eye. He investigated, and he couldn't believe what he found (and that the cattle never are it!)! He brought it home, and it's decorating the front porch for fall!
Yummy treat
My in-laws cleaned out their garden and brought the cattle the cornstalks. The gang loved this yummy treat! Thanks to Billie and Tom for this!
Busy Sunday for Ted!
It took him nearly all day, but he figured it out! I'm so proud of him! He had an audience all day. They're so curious! A little feed kept them away so he could get the fence fixed.

I can never figure out who wins or how they know who wins because it's not obvious; they just do it over and over and then stop as fast as … Continue reading Stand off
Looking at butts
Yep. You read the title right. I'm looking at butts, trying to determine if any cattle are bred or going into heat. Click off this post if you're not interested in looking at cow butts with me. Tilley's rear - maybe she's bred? Bindi's rear - she doesn't look like Tilley. Then again, she's a … Continue reading Looking at butts
Setting up the rest of the corral
Ted did it! The corral pieces he ordered finally came in after four weeks of waiting, so we headed to Hillsboro on Saturday morning to pick them up. It was a straight over and straight back trip. Then it was time to set them up. It was a little harder than we thought it … Continue reading Setting up the rest of the corral
