Believe me. We've tried for two years to give away the giant pile of cherry wood, and we've had two takers. Finally, Ted read that a leaf blower, when aimed at the base of the woodpile, would fan the flames enough that it would burn quickly. He went to work yesterday and came home … Continue reading We can’t give it away!

Work never ends here
On the weekends, we always have something to do around here. Two weekends ago, we had to fix a gate that Ted noticed was ready to fall off the main pasture! Who wants to chase cattle? NOT US. We've been there and done that, and it's only fun the first two times! Luckily, the weather … Continue reading Work never ends here

Tilly and Belle, best friends
Spoiled girls
Bindi, Bessie, Belle, and Chantilly having their grain mix Belle and Chantilly are best friends. Look! Belle is getting little horns! This is how to tell Bessie and Bindi apart: Bessie has a big white mark across her back... ...and Bindi does not!
Getting in the hay

You were a good dog, Cooper!
Cooper, you weren't the sharpest tool in the shed, but you were a good dog. You loved us all, and you only wanted to be with us all the time. You loved car and truck rides, and you never got car sick. You were a good dog. You never chased the chickens (just that one … Continue reading You were a good dog, Cooper!
Freebies are always good!
Someone posted on a local Facebook group that she had two broken refrigerators and a washer for free - first come, first serve! I immediately woke Ted up from … Continue reading Freebies are always good!
Welcome to the world!
Bessie had her baby sometime in the night between Thursday's wee hours and Friday morning. When we saw her Friday evening, she was prancing all over the field. There was no bumbling around like Bindi did. Welcome to the world, little Belle!
I’m on baby watch!
Jake and I noticed Bessie, Bindi, and Chantilly were all in the hoop house and wouldn't come when we called, so we turned off the electric fence and checked it out. Bessie's membrane has broken! We should have a calf on the ground soon!
Have a happy Sunday!!!
Love, Bessie, Bindi, and Chantilly
