We did it!

It was time...we had to trade off the old trailer.  It just wasn't going to to meet our needs any longer. We bought this beautiful new 16' Corn Pro to meet the growing needs of our farm, and we couldn't be happier with our experience at Lance's Trailer Sales in Athens, Ohio!  If you need … Continue reading We did it!

Rural King has chicks!

On the way home from our staff meeting, I stopped at Rural King.  Guess what cute feathery little fluffballs I found? Yep!  Chicks!!! There were just a few bins of them, but they were all pullets.  Farming tip: Let your local store know your name and number in case they can't sell the chicks they … Continue reading Rural King has chicks!

A little act of kindness goes a long way

I posted on Kroger's Facebook page last night, and in less than 24 hours, there have been over 1,500 likes on it!  The comments have all been so positive, too.  It got me to thinking:  we're all so quick to post the negative, but I'm betting far more positives happen to all of us.  Let's … Continue reading A little act of kindness goes a long way

Still no after…

Elfie and Elfis are back!

They were hiding out in Jake's shoe bin.  He found them whIle getting ready to go see Santa at Michael's Ice Cream Shoppe.  He was thrilled to see them again. We headed to the ice cream shoppe tonight for ice cream and Santa.  This is a tradition Jake and I just started last year when … Continue reading Elfie and Elfis are back!

Great dates

We had over an hour to kill between dinner and the movie on Saturday night. What do we do? We furniture shop for couches!  There were several we loved. Have you seen how thin and picture crisp these OLED televisions are???  Amazing!  We remember when console TVs were all the rage in the 1970s. LOL

LOOK what we got for the asking!

When we were at Noble Family Farm the other day, I asked the owner what she did with all of the leftover pumpkins once their season ended. She told me that they till them under back into the field. I asked her if I could have some of them once she was finished for the … Continue reading LOOK what we got for the asking!

Noble Family Farm

Jake visited Noble Family Farm last week and really  enjoyed it!  The farm has several activities for kids to enjoy, and it is very reasonably priced for entry ($6/person). The first attraction was a set of huge slides.  Jake loved these and has decided that his Dad should build him one on the farm. There … Continue reading Noble Family Farm
