I made omelets for breakfast today.

The eggs were from my hens; the green pepper was picked from my garden just a minute before going into the cast iron skillet, and the purple onion was from the local farmers’ market.

The butter was the only ingredient from the store,  and next summer that will be from Bessie’s milk!

You can’t beat the color and flavor this simple breakfast had!!!
