Pizza night just looks a little different now due to the fact that we’re doing our part and self-isolating to help flatten the curve/stop the spread of COVID19. Here’s a quick recipe I came up with, and Ted and Jake both like it.
Ingredients: frozen bread dough or frozen rolls, spaghetti sauce, toppings (What do you have that you can use? I had mozzarella, pepperoni, and a bag of frozen peppers and onions)
Set the frozen rolls out to thaw about three hours before you want to make the pizzas. Frozen bread dough in loaf shape may take a little longer.
Grease your cookie sheet or pan lightly. I used a big cookie sheet and a Corningware glass baking dish. Take a thawed roll dough piece and set it on the greased pan and immediately flip it over; that little bit of grease will keep the dough from sticking to your fingers. Pat the roll out into a mini circle.
Add some sauce to each patted out dough circle (maybe a tablespoon) and then your toppings. I put on each one: cheese, pepperoni, a tsp of frozen peppers and onions, and a sprinkle of dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Bake for 15 minutes at 425F.
I found that five mini pizzas fills one dinner plate so use that as your guide when thawing out your frozen roll dough.
