When lighting the fireplace for the first time, it’s a fantastic idea to remember some very important things.
Remember to run a fan in the open window for an hour so any fumes from the first lighting don’t make you sick.
Remember to put new batteries in both remote boxes so you don’t wake up to a frost bitten nose and no idea why the thermostat you installed didn’t work correctly (it’s like when your car breaks down, check the gas gauge first!!! LOL).
Here’s a new thing you probably have never been told: check to see if
you set a candle on top of it during the summer.
REMOVE IT.
If you leave it there, you’ll get to spend an hour scraping wax off the top and front of the fireplace and the floor where it puddled!
Fun, fun, fun…NOT!
