288.3 miles ÷ 8.28 gallons of gas = 34.80mpg

I did NOT get great gas mileage this time on this tank!  I think it was because I did a lot of idling the day we burnt that huge woodpile.  It took all day, and we kept getting in my car to warm up. I never realized how much that affected the mpg. Now that I know, I won’t be doing any idling in anything anymore!
