Little Smidge

I love this little dog! I got Smidge at the flea market ten and a half years ago. She was just a little, solid black, fuzzy, tiny slip of a pup, and she fit in the palm of my hand. I carried her around in the pocket of my robe for weeks. I used to push Jake’s stroller around with Smidge hiding out in the bottom basket; she’s always loved to people watch!  She greets me every single morning even though she sleeps in Jake’s room at the foot of his bed (a habit she started the night Cooper died, taking Cooper’s spot to comfort an inconsolable little boy).

She is one of the best dogs in the world, and she’s well loved here at Striving Acres!
