Pizza dough recipe

My baking table, ready for daily baking of all sorts

I’ve found it!!! This is the perfect pizza dough recipe!!! I’ve tried several over the years, and with all this time to practice due to COVID-19 and self-isolating, I’ve tweaked my recipe over and over until I finally hit on the perfect combination of ingredients!

Ingredients

Makes one 12″ crust

2 tsp yeast

1.5 tsp sugar

.75 tsp salt

.5 tsp garlic powder

.5 tsp dried basil

.5 tsp dried oregano

.25 tsp onion powder

.75 cups very warm water

2 cups flour

Mix just until dough sticks together (I used the Kitchenaid, but this can also be mixed with a wooden spoon).

Top with a squirt of oil and turn over in the bowl to get oil on it so it doesn’t stick to the bowl.

Dough rising in oven

Let rise 90-120 minutes in the oven with the oven light on.

Dump out onto greased pizza pan. Use oiled fingers to spread the dough out to the pan edges. Top with pizza toppings and bake at 425F for 20 to 25 minutes. Delicious!
