My COVID19 vaccine – Day 2 update

Saturday 2/6/2021 -  my COVID19 vaccine update:  It's been 20.5 hours since I received the vaccine.  The only side effect I have is a little tightness/swelling/soreness in my upper arm. It doesn't extend up to my shoulder or down to my elbow, and I have no redness. I can move my arm all around and … Continue reading My COVID19 vaccine – Day 2 update

I got the vaccine!

I got my COVID19 vaccine Friday, 2/5/2021 (shot 1 of 2 - Pfizer version). My school district arranged this for every staff member that wanted it. The shot felt like nothing, and I'm not kidding when I say that. If you're afraid of getting this because of the shot itself, let me assure you that … Continue reading I got the vaccine!

I got stuck!

I walked into my classroom at lunch, shut my door, and the doorknob fell off at my feet! I tried putting it back on, but I still couldn't open my door. I wound up calling the language arts teacher and saying, "Help! I'm locked INSIDE my classroom!" After my explanation, she had a good laugh … Continue reading I got stuck!

Snow day!

Time to fill the bird feeders on the porch I think I love snow days more than my students do! My co-teachers

Friskee spends pretty much every single class I teach and IEP meeting I hold perched on the back of my chair. Every so often, she throws in her two cents with a rumbling "mrroowww". If I put on my webcam, the kids are glued to their computers, but they aren't hearing anything from me - … Continue reading My co-teachers

Funny little things

Sometimes it's funny little things that spark memories in our minds. I am in the process of figuring out what the state department of education needs to add a special education certificate to my existing licensure. I've uploaded transcripts from getting my masters in it, a letter of eligibility from the university I attended, test … Continue reading Funny little things

Gramma would have loved this

I am currently in the last semester of getting my masters in special education. That entails field experience which means I take my lunch hour once or twice a week to work with students at a local school (because while it's okay to get the degree from an online college, it's not okay to teach … Continue reading Gramma would have loved this

My beautiful porch view

I love the beautiful view from my porch today...flowers, a calming waterfall, colorful fish, and chickens enjoying some watermelon! I love working from home. I get to sit here on my porch and enjoy all of this while completing annual teacher training online. It's so peaceful!
