We both have bifocals now. The difference is that I wear mine 24/7 since picking them up just over a week ago, and Ted "forgets" his constantly even though he's had them for a year. In the photo above, we were at his favorite local Mexican place to eat, and he has the menu that … Continue reading Yep. We got old.

Another first without Gramma
Gramma and I always made a big thing out of buying our flowers for our porches every year. We'd go to several places and make a whole day out of it. As she got older and couldn't stand all day trips, we'd make it a "flower week" and hit a different place each day to … Continue reading Another first without Gramma
Custom art gift!
My daughter-in-law, Morgan, painted this picture for me! I love it! The little bull in the picture is licking at snowflakes that are falling, and he looks just like our bull, Chip! I think this picture just goes perfectly in my office on the hutch! Morgan has her own business (Playful Fox & Co) and … Continue reading Custom art gift!
Happy 28th Anniversary!
We have been married for 28 years today! A friend found these photos (thank you, Johnna!!!) and sent them to me on Facebook; I'm so excited because we have barely any photos from our wedding (that's what happens when you literally run away to elope and then just call everyone you know two days later … Continue reading Happy 28th Anniversary!
The Christmas Cave in Minford, Ohio

It's a long … Continue reading The Christmas Cave in Minford, Ohio
Corn, corn, more corn!
I was looking back over my photographs, and then I realized that I completely forgot to post that Noble Farms called us and told us to come down and buy all of that corn if we wanted it! It took us a couple of days of scrambling to figure out where to get a dump … Continue reading Corn, corn, more corn!
Pumpkin time!
Once again, we went to Noble Family Farms for a fun day, and once again, I asked the owner what she was going to do with the pumpkins in the field once they closed for the season. Once again, she told me to come back and take as many as we wanted. A couple of … Continue reading Pumpkin time!
New hay feeder
One of Ted's coworkers has cattle, and he designed a new type of hay feeder. This design keeps the hay dry and off the ground, and it's supposed to be zero waste. Ted bought one from him. Robbie delivered it Saturday morning. The cattle love it!
I found goodies!
I went to The Rusted Barn today to pick up Jake's dresser. It's supposed to be beautiful weather this weekend, so I thought I could get it painted and get it into his room before his school starts on Monday morning. While I was there, I had to look at all of Tina's new fall … Continue reading I found goodies!
IT. IS. FIXED!!!!!!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!!!! MY OLD KITCHENAID DISHWASHER IS FIXED AND RUNNING!!! When I remodeled the kitchen a few years ago, I knew that one of the things I wanted was a second dishwasher. I saved money and saved gift cards from Lowe's, and I spent less than $500 cash on labor and one kitchen cabinet … Continue reading IT. IS. FIXED!!!!!!
