Gramma Izzie always fed "her birds" (wild birds), and I started doing it after she died. I'm still doing it. I have four feeders on the porch, and I recently put up a glass hanging birdbath (but the birds wouldn't go near it with water so I am using it as a feeder now and … Continue reading Bird treats

What I’ve been reading
I had about two hours of driving time to/from work this past school year, and I used that time to listen to quite a few audio books. I keep a "want to read" list, and I started to rate books on my list as I finished them. If you're looking for books/audiobooks for your summer … Continue reading What I’ve been reading
I’m done
Bare room again I'm not going back into the physical brick and mortar classroom next year. There are so many reasons why...and if I started telling the stories from this year, you would scoff and say there was no way those things happened...but they did. And these things are happening everywhere across the nation right … Continue reading I’m done
Pencil shavings to plants
Guess what I found out this morning? Pencil shavings can go in the compost bin or be sprinkled around your plants! They're good for repelling gnats in houseplants when on top of the soil according to The Plant Doctor (on the Rachel Ray Show in March 2020). Hopefully my classroom plants will agree! My COVID19 2nd vaccine – Day 2
Not much to post - Ted says I have a fever although I can't feel it (but I do have one), and I'm soooo sleepy. I've napped all afternoon and am planning to go right back to sleep after posting this. I don't feel fatigued or exhausted, just super duper sleepy.
My COVID19 2nd vaccine – Day 1
I got my second dose of the Pfizer COVID19 vaccine yesterday afternoon at 5:30. Again, the shot itself didn't hurt; it was just a little stick and that's all I felt. Again, they had me stay a little while longer than normal because of my Dad having so many allergies, and again, I had no … Continue reading My COVID19 2nd vaccine – Day 1
Friday
Friday is a terror. I know she doesn't look like it, but she IS. See that toy under her? We have to hide it at night or else she runs all over the house with it, dragging it from one room to another, over and over and over. She thumps up and down the stairs … Continue reading Friday
Teacher haul
A coworker emailed all of the teachers in our building to say she'd cleaned her classroom and placed freebies on a desk outside her classroom door. Look at all the math manipulatives and other goodies that I scored!!!
My COVID19 vaccine- Day 3 update
Sunday, 2/7/2021 - There's truly not much to say about this today. It's been 48.5 hours since I received the COVID19 vaccine, and I had no more arm soreness at all as of this morning. I am running a slight fever now though but honestly wouldn't have known except that Ted touched my face and … Continue reading My COVID19 vaccine- Day 3 update
