Guess what I found out this morning?

Pencil shavings can go in the compost bin or be sprinkled around your plants! They’re good for repelling gnats in houseplants when on top of the soil according to The Plant Doctor (on the Rachel Ray Show in March 2020).

Hopefully my classroom plants will agree! I emptied our classroom pencil sharpener on them this morning.
