Guess what I found out this morning? Pencil shavings can go in the compost bin or be sprinkled around your plants! They're good for repelling gnats in houseplants when on top of the soil according to The Plant Doctor (on the Rachel Ray Show in March 2020). Hopefully my classroom plants will agree! I emptied … Continue reading Pencil shavings to plants

My COVID19 2nd vaccine – Day 2
Not much to post - Ted says I have a fever although I can't feel it (but I do have one), and I'm soooo sleepy. I've napped all afternoon and am planning to go right back to sleep after posting this. I don't feel fatigued or exhausted, just super duper sleepy.
My COVID19 2nd vaccine – Day 1
I got my second dose of the Pfizer COVID19 vaccine yesterday afternoon at 5:30. Again, the shot itself didn't hurt; it was just a little stick and that's all I felt. Again, they had me stay a little while longer than normal because of my Dad having so many allergies, and again, I had no … Continue reading My COVID19 2nd vaccine – Day 1
Friday
Friday is a terror. I know she doesn't look like it, but she IS. See that toy under her? We have to hide it at night or else she runs all over the house with it, dragging it from one room to another, over and over and over. She thumps up and down the stairs … Continue reading Friday
Teacher haul

I am running a slight fever now though but honestly wouldn't have known except that Ted touched my face and … Continue reading My COVID19 vaccine- Day 3 update

Saturday 2/6/2021 - my COVID19 vaccine update: It's been 20.5 hours since I received the vaccine. The only side effect I have is a little tightness/swelling/soreness in my upper arm. It doesn't extend up to my shoulder or down to my elbow, and I have no redness. I can move my arm all around and … Continue reading My COVID19 vaccine – Day 2 update
I got the vaccine!
I got my COVID19 vaccine Friday, 2/5/2021 (shot 1 of 2 - Pfizer version). My school district arranged this for every staff member that wanted it. The shot felt like nothing, and I'm not kidding when I say that. If you're afraid of getting this because of the shot itself, let me assure you that … Continue reading I got the vaccine!
I got stuck!
I walked into my classroom at lunch, shut my door, and the doorknob fell off at my feet! I tried putting it back on, but I still couldn't open my door. I wound up calling the language arts teacher and saying, "Help! I'm locked INSIDE my classroom!" After my explanation, she had a good laugh … Continue reading I got stuck!
