Earlier this week, Ted and I worked on the current project for a little while. We had to do some measurements and then find exactly what we needed to fit. Then we had to figure out some materials. Puppers took over a supervisory role. Ted and I got up early this morning and headed out … Continue reading A sneak peek at the current project

She did it!
DG (aka Daddy's Girl) has always gotten car sick ever since we took her for her first round of shots as a puppy. Usually when she gets in a vehicle, she throws up before we get to the end of the road. It's horrible! We always feel so bad for her. A couple of weekends … Continue reading She did it!
He’s adapting well…
Chewie was with Gramma when she passed. He knows she's gone, and he doesn't look for her (unlike when she was hospitalized, and he would just go room to room to search for her and almost knock his visitors down trying to get to their cars to see if she was out there). He stayed … Continue reading He’s adapting well…
Hiking our farm today
Today, we decided to hike our farm. It. Is. GORGEOUS!!! Side note: We walked to the edge of the woods, heard a "meow", and then Ted brought Daisy back home and locked her in the house because she was following me. He said he knew if he didn't take her home, she'd get lost, and … Continue reading Hiking our farm today
Killer (AKA Smidge)
This is Smidge, and she will be 11 in March. She hid this little ham bone in her bed on Christmas morning, and she was really upset because DG and Puppers kept looking at her. She thinks she weighs about 100 pounds, and while she is normally very mild mannered, she is not afraid to scrap with … Continue reading Killer (AKA Smidge)
Little Smidge
I love this little dog! I got Smidge at the flea market ten and a half years ago. She was just a little, solid black, fuzzy, tiny slip of a pup, and she fit in the palm of my hand. I carried her around in the pocket of my robe for weeks. I used to … Continue reading Little Smidge
Puppies!!!
We gave the goats to Farmer Johnson, and look what we saw at his barn! Jake loved playing with them! These Great Pyrenees mixed breed pups are HUGE! They are about five weeks old and weigh roughly twelve pounds each. These are going to be big dogs when they're full grown!
Waiting is so hard…
The neighbors are target shooting, so DG wasn't allowed to go out with Ted to lock up the chickens. She's stared forlornly at the door like this since he went out.
It’s been a year, Cooper
I wrote this post on 9/2 (Saturday) but left it in my draft folder. It was too hard to go through the pictures that day to find some of Cooper to share. I had to wait. It's just that hard (still). It's been a year since you died, Cooper. It feels so much longer. Jake … Continue reading It’s been a year, Cooper
Visiting buddy
Just about every morning, we get a visit from our little buddy who lives down the driveway, across the road, and up the next big hill. He makes the short trek over just so he can pee on my farm truck tires, sniff noses (and butts) with DG and Puppers, and have a drink from … Continue reading Visiting buddy
