Last week, SOMEBODY (*my oldest son*) dropped off this little scrawny gray kitten at our house (the kitten was dumped at his house first). I came home to find a full bowl of catfood and a full plastic container of water on the porch table, and this little bony kitten was running around, tormenting the … Continue reading Meet Picky Mao

I always feel like…

Visiting the vet
We go to a wonderful vet clinic when needed, but Puppers doesn't necessarily enjoy the visits. Normally, the dogs go only when something is wrong as they're all healthy and happy; Puppers just gets so nervous when she goes in. She watches my face for visual cues more than any dog I've ever had, and … Continue reading Visiting the vet
Happy dogs
DG and Puppers love romping in the snow every morning for about thirty minutes. Then they're done, and they just want to bask in front of the fireplace the rest of the day... ...and steal scarf beg for eat snacks because...well, you know, SNACKS! LOL Yum!
Nope!
A light drizzling snow started falling this morning. It came down for two hours, and it doesn't show signs of stopping. Operation Move Those Pigs

Pigs on the loose (again)!
I heard DG and Puppers barking their alert barks, so I stepped out on the porch, hoping it was the UPS guy with my package. IT WAS BITSY AND DIXIE - LOOSE!!! They pushed the fence up at the bottom and both went right out (at the same spot). Nobody can ever tell me I … Continue reading Pigs on the loose (again)!
I’ve got a plan!
Usually we have a big crew for Thanksgiving, and the past three years, I've made it a potluck. It's been awesome and easy for everybody. This year though I have cousins going to see a new baby on their side, two of Teddy's friends going to visit their families up north, and my parents probably … Continue reading I’ve got a plan!
Learning to love it here
The piglets are adjusting well here. They've finally learned that I come bearing treats every time I bisit, and Dixie (spotted one) is letting me scratch her head and ears while she eats now. Bitsy and Dixie at supper time Bitsy, however, still gives growling grunts when I reach toward her, but she will … Continue reading Learning to love it here
