I’ve been making homemade bread almost every single day since the lockdown started here in Ohio. Ted loves loves LOVES homemade bread. He says it’s his Kryptonite. I think cooking good food is my love language to him.
The last few times I’ve made my mother-in-law’s rolls, I’ve eyed that dough, thinking it would make great cinnamon rolls.. and I finally tried it. I was correct! They were delicious! Here’s how to do it:
Make Gramma Billie’s Big Fat Easy Yeast Rolls and let the dough rise to the first rising in the recipe.

Then roll the dough out on a floured surface and spread 1/4 cup of melted butter (not margarine!) on the dough and then top that with 1 cup brown sugar and 1 Tbl cinnamon sprinkled over the buttered dough. Roll the dough up, cut it into 12 slices with a sharp knife, put the cinnamon rolls in a buttered baking dish, and follow the rest of Billie’s roll recipe to rise for the second time and then bake as her recipe says.
Stir together a Tbl of milk with @ 1 cup of powdered sugar and pour that icing over top of the hot cinnamon rolls and serve.

Delicious!
