Library problem

Ted says I have a library book problem.  I was putting away the books on the "public library books shelf" at home (What?  Doesn't everyone have a library book spot at home??), and he saw THE LIST.   THE LIST is what our library prints and gives out to show you what you have checked … Continue reading Library problem

Minecraft party!

I don't know about your house, but here it's all Minecraft, Legos, and Spongebob with Jake! When we saw a flyer at our local library for a Minecraft party, we signed up and took his cousin, too.Β  They had coloring pages, a marshmallow Creeper toss, bingo, and a bead craft. The snack table was awesome! … Continue reading Minecraft party!

Bedtime stories

Jake is staying up past bedtime to read to his plushies and Cooper. He thinks he's pulling one over on me because he's staying up so late. Sometimes letting a kid think like that works in a Mom's favor.  He'll read the entire book without any prodding from me...LOL πŸ™‚

Lego Fusion

One of Jake's Christmas presents was the Lego Fusion iPad Town Master set.  This is a download able app, and the box contains Lego bricks with one Fusion baseplate (needed to scan his creations and insert them into the app). I can see a TON of educational uses for this app and brick set already. … Continue reading Lego Fusion

Jake enjoyed it so much he crashed in the living room and read … Continue reading Ricky Ricotta’s Mighty Robot

Back to school time is always so busy for me for several reasons. I teach online so my school starts back the beginning of August. It's too soon; it's right in the middle of canning season for me which yanks that to a screeching halt five days a week (and then I play catch up … Continue reading Back to school

Jake’s learning list

Jake and I made up his learning list before bed tonight. These are all things he's very interested in and wants to know more about. I've done homeschooling this way the majority of the time with all four of my kids. This works so well because it builds on the child's interests. I'll take this … Continue reading Jake’s learning list

Lesson planning

On the day of the doctor appointment,Β  I also stopped at Target and found lots of teacher goodies in their Dollar Spot. If you homeschool and have older kids in activities, you know how it is doing some schooling in the car during hour long practices. I love using the iPad for math and spelling … Continue reading Lesson planning

Good morning, gorgeous! !!

What a beautiful day!!! Jake's working on recreating our little farm on Minecraft. He's taking a picture here so he can replicate the house. The hens are having breakfast in the compost pile. LOL Puppers is hoping for another treat. Cooper's mad because I made him stop rolling in a cow pie. DG is always … Continue reading Good morning, gorgeous! !!
